First Dive

I got to go diving for the first time since we have been down here. The water was perfect, warm and clear. Spent the whole time chasing lobsters. Between everyone diving we caught twenty-five keepers. Then we went to a friends house for dinner who showed me how to cook them up, and they were delicious! Willie

School

If anyone had any doubts about the real reason we are here I thought I would add this picture. This is me at school...As you can see between the buildings is the ocean. Not a bad place to go to school...There are no windows in the classrooms, so we do not get distracted. School is going good, my professors are amazing at what they do...It is very rigorous and not easy...but I am already learning alot!!! I better get back to it....Erin

First Fish

Got to go spear fishing today...finally!!!! We snorkeled out around a reef, where we saw an array of beautiful ocean creatures. I shot my first blue runner...This morning's fun, is tonight's dinner!

Shipwreck

During the catamaran trip we got to see more of the damage hurricane Earl caused. Including this ship that got washed ashore.
For our last day of the orientation week, we got to go out on a Catamaran trip. The boat left Port Zante St. Kitts, and went to a secluded cove, only accessible by boat. At the cove we snorkeled and then had lunch.
During our snorkeling adventure we saw two barracudas, a huge jelly fish, and many beautiful reef fish.

St. Kitts Coast Gaurd

This is a St. Kitts Coast Guard vessel that ran out of gas the day before hurricane Earl. The vessel was then washed ashore during the hurricane. I can just hear the conversation on board, "Hey captin do you think we should get some fuel?" " Nah mon we'll do it tomorrow." Life runs at a different pace down here....
